Our Mission

Our goals

01

Serving nature

We serve nature by letting goats do what they do best…gently reclaiming the land, one bite at a time, so native life can flourish again. With each hillside cleared and each thicket thinned, we honor the quiet rhythms of the earth and help restore its wild beauty.

02

Empowering Change

We rise each day not just to clear the land, but to clear a path toward healing….finding purpose in each step and strength in one another. In the quiet company of goats and grass, we learn that recovery isn’t a weakness to hide but a strength to carry with pride. By walking this path together, we reclaim our stories and remind the world that there is beauty in becoming whole again.

03

The Next Adventure

Life can be tough terrain, but every climb holds the promise of a new view. We believe every struggle is part of the next great adventure…an invitation to grow, to rise, and to keep moving forward. Hard doesn’t mean hopeless; it means there’s still a story worth living, one step at a time.

Mission Statement – Grateful Grazing Crew

At Grateful Grazing Crew, our mission is to provide sustainable, chemical-free brush control and land management through the power of nature’s best landscapers….goats. We rent our herd to property owners, municipalities, and organizations seeking an eco-friendly solution for clearing overgrown land, reducing wildfire risk, and restoring native habitats. Our work promotes healthier ecosystems, helps prevent erosion, and supports biodiversity without the use of heavy machinery or harmful herbicides.

But our mission runs deeper than land care. Grateful Grazing Crew is a community of individuals in recovery, using meaningful work to rebuild our lives, support one another, and reconnect with purpose. We believe healing the land goes hand-in-hand with healing ourselves. Through hard work, mutual accountability, and the peace that comes from working alongside animals and nature, we are creating a future that’s not only greener, but grounded in second chances, gratitude, and growth.

How it all started

It all began with two goats, five curious chickens, and a mother and daughter chasing something more than just a livelihood. Jodi and Mikayla set out not only to clear land, but to clear space in their lives for healing, hope, and something honest and real. With sun on their backs, animals at their side, and dirt under their nails, Grateful Grazing Crew was born from a small beginning rooted in love, recovery, and the wild belief that even the simplest lives can spark something extraordinary.
